This foyer/vestibule
area was in the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra Showhouse 2002. The
handpainted mural was designed by Eve and her extremely talented painter
to create an "English Countryside" feel as you entered the
house. The bombay chest, leather carved chair, and artist's iron garden
bench give a relaxed formality to the entryway.

This adorable nursery
had a cathedral ceiling, so I created a voluminous "corona"
over the crib to help cozy up the room. The wonderful achitectural
details of the room were enhanced with wallpaper borders in the ceiling
creases, on the ceiling where it meets the wall, and along the bumber
of the crib creating a chairrail effect around the room . The matching
fabric gave a soft crown draping effect from the corona to the floor.
The Mom was delighted!

This stunning guest
bedroom was done in a soft romantic style using matlesse and sheer
toile fabric in different shades of mint green. It all started with
the client's mother's antique vanity chair. The tone on tone green
fabrics were of all different textures with a green damask wallpaper
and pale green petit point carpet. All the accessories, including
a cheval mirror, were in a soft nickel/pewter finish.

This living
room in Chicago was in a new home where the owner wanted a dressy,
English garden look. The walls were painted in a deeper tone of beige
to "pop" the fantastic moldings. It was a small sitting
room and light colors were used on the largest surfaces, sofa, and
walls to make the room look as large as possible with punches of color
on the plaid taffeta drape and floral chintz of the chair. The oil
painting and wall shelves added just the right "manor house"
finishing touches.
